Florida Defense Science and Technology Symposium (FDSTS) 2024


Scope: The event will take place at the University of Central Florida (UCF) campus in Orlando during October 17-18, 2024, and is co-organized by UCF and the University of South Florida (USF). Faculty from the State University System of Florida are invited to participate. The aim is to bring together academic experts in Florida that are working in areas related to defense science and technology. The tentative program includes lectures by program managers from different DoD agencies including funding opportunities, poster presentations, faculty lightning talks in front of program managers, workshops by experienced faculty on how to write DoD proposals, and more. The symposium is intended to benefit junior faculty or faculty that are new to DoD. Preference will be given to faculty who would like to present a lightning talk in front of a DoD PM and would like to present a poster.
